Lorenzo Filomeni was born in Turin in 1978. For reasons related to his father's work, he moved to Rapallo in 1982, returning to the piedmontese capital the following year. At the age of twelve, he settled with his family in Milan, where he completed his studies and graduated in law. A self-taught artist since 2000, he studied in Milan with Nino Mustica and Gregorio Mancino. He currently lives and works in Marina di Pietrasanta (Lu).
Opus in Artem presents primarily works from two different series by the artists. First are surprising assemblages of thousands of cigarette butts and as second oxidised iron chips attached to the canvas in pursuit of chromatic harmony.
