<< Melville wrote a novel about the struggle between the whale and the human being. In my painting of the (unequal) struggle between the whale and man, I try to imagine the whale in its lightness (light as symbol for innocence) escaping and flying away. >>

<< Melville scrive un romanzo sulla lotta tra la balena e l’essere umano. Nel mio dipinto nella lotta (impari) tra la balena e l’uomo cerco di immaginare la balena che nella sua leggerezza (leggera perché innocente) sfugge e vola via. >>
