Simona Mulazzani
Simona Mulazzani was born in Milan, currently she lives and works in Pesaro. Since 1994, she has dedicated herself in particular to children's books. Among her best-known illustrations are those for the books of Luis Sepulveda, and since then she has published about a hundred books both in Italy and abroad, which have also been translated into French, Spanish, Korean, German, Portuguese, English, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Arabic, etc.
In 2005 and 2013, the Silver Medal "Original Art" at the Society of Illustration in NY, in 2007 White Ravens and the City of Cento Prize, the Andersen Prize as best book 0-6 years old in 2008, in 2010 the Emanuele Luzzati Prize for the illustration "Il gigante delle Langhe", in 2016 the Andersen Prize as Best Illustrator and in 2017 the second prize of the Malerba Prize Amphibian Books.
Since 1992, his works have been exhibited in galleries, art fairs and public spaces, including large format works that correspond to a research parallel to his editorial work.
